It’s an almost rainy Tuesday afternoon.
Outside the birds are chirping in anticipation of the thunderstorm, the cat sleeps lazily on the large reading chair and my enthusiasm is churning as I open the box containing the mushrooms we’ve been waiting for!
Maittake, Shittake, Lions Mane, Piopinno, King Stropharia, Chicken of the Woods and Blewit all waiting for me to make my first move towards propagation. Along with the mushrooms we ordered the book by Tradd Cotter of Mushroom Mountain in South Carolina filled with methods for indoor and outdoor propagation as well as experimental methods for mycoremidiation.
Much more to come from these as we grow the spawn and begin developing mushroom beds, logs and stumps!
